Day 228/20. A new generation of racers.

A wet and miserable day today. Our grandsons are now old enough to be introduced to Scalextric.
Scalextric is a track based slot car racing system first invented by a Mr Fred Francis, Scalextric was first made in Havant Hampshire in 1956.
I had my first Scalextric set in perhaps 1966. I kept a lot of my original  track. It was resurrected when my daughters were young (and new cars purchased) for a few years then into storage again.
Today it came out and the grandsons loved the fun. Sibling rivalry and competition in the boys came out instantly.
The Jaguar XK220 is still my favourite ahead of the Ferrari 412......
Great fun was had by all, even Vic's new pup, Piper, joined in.
