Flypast

The only flypast this morning at Portobello Beach was a near constant stream of Sandwich Terns just offshore. No sign of the promised Red Arrows, and pretty poor social media from the Red Arrows team - if you are going to publicise something like that on social media, surely you also have a responsibility to also publicise the cancellation so people know what is happening? Interesting too to see that the headline on the local news page on the BBC wasn't 'Flypast Cancelled' even if the only bit of the country that saw the planes was over on the West Coast while the story here was of the display that wasn't. Saw my ex-college mate P down there and had a brief catch-up, having seen another ex-college friend G only a few days ago, the same day as she had arrived from Czech, as it turned out.
