No Idea (DS206)

Found in the railway cutting while sorting out a couple of steps.  It was down near where the tracks would have been so I'll guess it is something to do with them,  or it just fell off a passing train ....

Fascinating rust, it looks as if the triangular section is/was threaded onto the other part, which is about 200mm from one end to the other.

In between the drizzly bits we have been sorting out what we want for a week away in Dorset and Sussex - although the weather is not looking promising.  Aside from that, I have been reading up on absorption  fridges and helping a neighbour to fit a replacement light switch.
Exciting eh!
