Not the day we planned...

Before Covid-19 came along and interfered with everyone’s plans, today would have been the wedding of our daughter Lizzie to her partner Rebekah .

Even with some relaxations (from today in England) the event could not have matched what was planned. So a rescheduled date is set for July next year. All bookings easily transferred.

Nevertheless we and the future in laws gathered at the ceremony venue - the Ashton Memorial in Lancaster - for a picnic. This model is whiter than the actual building but it is no less impressive set above the city with magnificent views over the countryside and up to the Lake District.

if next year the weather is half as good as it was today, we will have a lovely day. Today was almost too hot!
