The Prairie Buster Plough....
A busy one today again . Once I’d been round the cows , hitched up the fertiliser spreader and took a load of nitrogen to a grass field next door. Back home, spreader power washed, hitched up the baler then headed off to bale the field of grass I cut on Thursday.
The contractor in to cut the other field of winter barley this afternoon. Sent Ross off to cart in while I was at the silage, wee brother carting and wrapping bales . By 9pm tonight we had the field cleared , winter barley cut and only 20 acres of straw to worry about.
This plough is sitting where it was abandoned about 35 years ago when we were reclaiming the hill ground. We used to tow it behind my Fordson crawler tractor, back in the good old days !
