Doggy heaven

At the start of the evening the sofa contained one person, she was joined by another. These two people added a footstool, cushions and a blanket with a view to snuggling down to watch a film. How did this happen? We are now sitting on opposite sides of the room and Beano has sofa, footstool, blanket and more cushions than he knows what to do with!
