San Remo

Riding up to San Romolo on a scorching August morning. This was the breaking point on several rides up this "easy" but torturous ride in the heat. A few days later, I had to actually turn back suffering a bit of heat exhaustion. After this scenic turn out on the road, the climb got easier and cooler as it crested the mountain and entered the pine forest. The sguigle of a rode shows in the middle right. Each time I made this ride, I felt a good sense of accomplishment if even only 800 meters of elevation.
