Paddling pool

Last night was the longest thunderstorm I can remember. The thunder was a continuous unbroken rumbling for hours, interrupted only by louder claps and sometimes drowned out by the rain. I don't know if there was a pause as I fell asleep for about three hours in the middle of the night.

In the night I had seen a real stream flowing off our small drive. I was surprised to see little local sign of water and damage in the morning, although several streets in Perth suffered flooding. There was plenty of water on the North Inch, not uncommon, and these two small children were enjoying it by running backwards and forwards to an island.

(Got confused and posted this late and out of sequence.)
