rode straight past

normally I walk this route and go through the gate but we were meeting friends at a nearby pub for our first meal out since lock down - I was hot and bothered so didn't fancy the hour long walk opted to take the bike instead and join them there - food was fine took ages to serve and it was still hot sitting outside - trouble was it took so long we are knew we would be travelling back in the dark - I left 5 mins early as I have to cycle through a very scary wood and had no lights - M and co got back about 45 mins later in the pitch dark
