Take off

After quite a lazy day yesterday, we set off for a walk along the canal this morning thinking it would be quiet.  How wrong we were.  So many bikes it was difficult to walk 2 abreast, so we soon peeled off and headed for a quieter route.

However just as we approached the canal from the park, we spotted the swan family heading east at a fairly brisk pace.  We had to put some speed on to catch up, but were lucky that the cygnets became side-tracked by something so were able to get slightly ahead of them.   I am pleased to report that all nine cynets have survived the summer.  

As I headed for a vantage point I heard the flap of wings so took a chance on sports mode and this is the result.
