The birthday boy

Back blipped Sunday 16th

We were collected from the campsite by our son just before lunchtime and had time to see him open his presents before the first of his 2 friends arrived. A quick bite of lunch and we got organised to walk over to Ali’s parents house for the birthday gathering. It was a lovely day for a walk - not too hot and we arrived around 3pm.

It was a lovely afternoon and evening with a couple of other friends and family popping in too. Food was tasty and the drinks were free flowing thanks to Ali’s dad being a generous host.

Ended up watching the young ones play golf (chipping ping pong balls into the washing basket) and the cardboard box game. I’d never seen that one before but a box is placed in the kiddie if the circle and the aim is to pick it up with your teeth. Each round sees the box being cut down until it’s just a flat piece of cardboard. I’m far too inflexible to have joined in!

Taxi back to the campsite around 10 and the young ones made it home around midnight.

Lovely day to celebrate my first born turning 25 - how did that happen!
