Precarious nest

A ' mostly at home day today' so my blip is taken from the terrace. All through lockdown we watched a pair of magpies building a nest towards the top of this very tall tree. They were then very busy feeding and raising the babies. We watched with interest as this really is very high and quite exposed. They land further down and hop up the tree. We have seen them fight off crow attacks and seen the babies playing and learning from their parents. As I sat here this morning they were all busy popping in and out of the nest, which remarkably is still there!
