20th anniversary

Married 20 years, apparently that's China in old money. I meant to send him a montage of Trump saying the word China over and over, but thankfully, it remained a Trump free day. On the day itself, the 4th August and exam results day across the nation, we pulled out all the stops. Yes, we headed off with the kids in lashing rain to have a..... burger king...squinting through the car windows, rain and mist to see zero dolphins at the beach. What a classy couple....

Luckily, Friday night promised something much more enticing, a feast for a King and Queen from Eat from the Green. The food was so very good, just gorgeous and so well organised. Loads of veggie options for me and too much for us both. Then it was outdoor scrabble, continued tipples and a firepit session into the darkness. Tess enjoyed stealing our bubbly, Sam enjoyed an extra Eat on Green dish we just didn't have room for.
