Off With the Old

This is a Black Swallowtail Butterfly Caterpillar which has just shed it's skin. Just walked right out of it! Caterpillars shed their old skin as they grow larger, often as many as five times! As large as this one is, it's probably about ready to transform into a chrysalis. And please do take a look at the
