Summer Day

Not as hot as Saturday, but just as difficult to watch the temperature steadily rise all day long. To feel it rise. Then it turned muggy to add to the discomfort. Finally, it even rained a bit, as though it couldn't think of what else to do.
We distracted ourselves with washing the large curtain that hangs between the living and dining rooms during cold weather, and also washing the round braided rug from the kitchen.   It took a lot of nice, cold water sprayed over the rug, that was draped over a patio table, to get all the soap out.  So nice to squish our toes in the sopping wet grass.
