Dog walkers beach

... though today there were a few families camped out too.  

Accessed from Skinningrove or the Cleveland Way.  Not quite as crowded as Whitby or Saltburn, which we have avoided so far.  No amusements or ice-cream vendors or gulls stealing your chips.  We did watch a whole flock of gannets through our binoculars that must have found a productive shoal of fish.  We could see them flocking round and diving for their catch but they were barely visible to the naked eye.  One of the locals told us he’d seen dolphins out in the bay the day before.  We didn’t see any but are hoping for more luck on Wednesday.

The cloud arrived at this point, though the sun is out now we are back on the Moor.
