Digging for dinosaurs

We met our Portland family for a picnic Sunday despite the 100 degree weather to celebrate Z turning 7 the day before and to get to see M and her mom who we hadn’t seen since June. We left Cowboy at home, brought tons of ice and found a shady spot ...the table was nestled in shade near a grove of very tall firs and a patch of grass too play on. We thoroughly enjoyed the picnic and, to my surprise, both kids still wanted to hunt for the Dino eggs and excavate the toy Dino’s! I was glad I’d brought them:)
On the way home it was searing hot at the rest stops....returned to a very cool hone and very happy cowboys!
