Family BBQ at Holly’s cousin’s today, catching up with everyone for the first time post-lockdown.

It’s Paige’s birthday today, and we were text this exchange.


-Did you have a good birthday?
-Yes
-Did you like your presents?
-Yes, but I didn’t get everything I wanted.
-What else did you want?
-To see Xander and Holly. They said in the card I’d see them soon.

Better remember not to write “see you soon” in a card again.
