Watchful Eyes

This creature was discovered in the front porch this morning, sitting on a little wood and skin drum. It stayed calm while TM carried it outside and I took pictures. We left it to its own devices and next time we looked it was gone.

I suppose it's a wasp of some sort, I'll try to look it up later if I can stay awake.

It's Ali's birthday today and Nat has taken her off to the city for 24 hours of respite from the offspring. It's been a wet day and we couldn't find their wellies, but they don't  seem to mind wet feet. I do.
