....and aptly named:  a Robber Fly aka an Assassin Fly.  

I saw several of these this morning on my trip to Hughes Hollow.  

This afternoon I participated in a Webinar put on by the Maryland Photography Alliance presented by Cole Thompson called "why Black and white?"   It was really excellent and truly inspiring.
