LILY

These flowers  always remind me of when in the summer of 1965, we poled our leaky houseboat nine miles down the river Soar & across the Trent & put it in a dry dock to caulk all the leaks & replace a few dodgy planks.

It was a mammoth task & we returned to Loughborough  leak free!

All along the Soar we had to pole our way through water lilies...

So it goes!
