It’s D’s birthday. We had to wait for the children to get up before he could open his cards and presents then he and poppy went and got us all a McDonald’s for lunch. Poppy made an amazing lemon drizzle cake for him which was fantastic. We had a quiet afternoon then Alfie drove us all into Cambridge this evening where we had dinner at Six restaurant. It was lovely sitting in the roof terrace and having a cocktail, looking out at the fabulous views of Cambridge. The meal was great and we felt very safe.
