100ºF

This pandemic has been interesting in many ways.  The ways that are positive are how creative we have all become in making things still happen.  Figuring stuff out, you know?  I'll be interested to see what solutions stick around on the other side because there have been some good ones.  The discovery of hidden courtyards and gardens that people are making available for meetings is one.

However, the weather is admittedly a wrinkle.  The reliably dry weather we have here is useful.  But our outdoor meeting in this heat wasn't super fun, but we got through it. 

The barber shop downtown on Broadway in the extra is lucky to have outdoor space out back so has moved operations (in line with county restrictions) there.  I had an email from a stylist I saw a couple years ago in Menlo Park saying she'd do house calls if there was a garden or park - I am getting to that point where I might consider it.

Heavy wildfire smoke this evening as areas of the San Mateo coast is burning, fires lit by the lightning, evacuation order for some towns.
