Portobello Dawn
After enjoying a night out in Edinburgh celebrating Scotland's win over Italy in the 6 nations match I had to get up at 6am this morning to go and do an interview on BBC Radio5 Live. After finishing at the Tun (BBC in Edinburgh) I decided to grab the camera and head towards Portobello to see if I could catch the dawn.
Apart from a very few early dog walkers the beach at Portobello was empty, which was not surprising really as it was very early on a cold Sunday morning. I got there a little later than I had hoped, but still early enough to catch some of the early light.
In the background you can see Cockenzie power station, which opened in 1967 and is a very well recognised feature on the East Lothian skyline.
