Victorian morality?

What better to do on a grey, drizzly Sunday morning than wander around Leamington looking for a blip. Quite a few things I saw I've already blipped, but looking across the road I spotted this wonderful piece of Victoriana up above one high street bank... It could almost be the motto for Victorian Workhouses as there you certainly had to work hard for your meagre rations if you were an inmate in one of these. This sculpture, with its motto, 'Nothing without labour' depicts the hard working bees ever toiling to bring food to the hive. It is translated from the Latin: Nil sine labore.
Our Australian friends might be interested to know that this is the motto of the Victorian Grammar Schools and the Greenwich Public School. And for our Scottish friends it is also the motto of St Mungo's Academy in Glasgow.
Did any of you go to a school with a memorable Latin motto?
