The ties that bind

A patch of that naughty, noxious, pretty pretty pretty pest, Blue Periwinkle. Until now I just thought 'periwinkle' was a sweet-sounding word...but then have realised - duh - it comes from the Latin to bind or entwine thoroughly...which is exactly what it does, scrambling around in any little corner it can find. Oh well, small things amuse small minds, they say.
