The pink house by the Loch.
David needed a few things from home so we went over to Dingwall to drop them off.
We went out for lunch at the Highland Farm cafe who are taking part in the Eat Out scheme. They have lots of Gazebos up outside which are great as they also provide cover from the rain which started at the end of our meal.We had a coffee and then Scampi and chips.
We then went for a walk at Loch Glass. We thought we spotted a lovely statue of a stag near the house at the start of the walk so did not pay much attention as I thought I would take a photo when we walked past.It had disappeared so it must have been a real one lol !
A lovely walk, took us a while to work out a strange noise which turned out to be a wind turbine some miles away from the Novar wind farm.
Surprised to see a sounder ( group, had to look that up ) of wild boar happily playing in the dirt.
The water was fairly low but still looks lovely especially with the pink house on the shore. It’s not lived in and an empty shell and rummers have it that it may be knocked down soon as planning was approved or even applied for.I like it though so hope it stays.
We could hear lots of buzzards in the trees and the wildflowers along the side of the path were beautiful including all the heather now in bloom and the purple of the thistles.
Had a coffee at the Storehouse on the way back. They also have a large gazebo up outside.
Tesco’s for some food shopping, farm shop for raspberries and strawberries and then home.
Had a tasty tea of Turkey sandwiches and salad :)
