Little big adventures

The sun broke through and the wind picked up just as work finished, so running was much nicer than it had been.

Todays high was an unphotographed, fully in the moment canoe adventure shared with a 2 and 4 year old.
They were sad that the big kids got to go gorge walking so I broke all the rules, closed up shop for a bit and found the teeny buoyancy aids.
Together we built out mega canoe, learned to tie a bowline, showed the grown ups how to use a paddle and launched into the big big big water.
We used our paddles and went really far. Touched a bouy. Sang and signed row row row the boat. Saw some oyster catchers. Conquered an island. Had a floating snack. Touched the seaweed growing on the bouy. When we got back  we splashed and jumped and tried floating in our buoyancy aids.
We all had the best time ever.
