The pips

When you hear ' the pips ' on the hour before The News, they come from here...Anthorn, on the Solway. You might need your glasses on to see the radio masts.

There are 3 Atomic clocks on site...They are accurate to 1second in 15million years!

At night time the masts are lit up with red lights!

We parked at Skinburness, just North of Silloth on Solway...we then walked out to Grune Point, to get this view of Anthorn radio station.

As we continued around the Point we had great views of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

We finished our walk in the dry, but now, at 4.30pm the rain has started!
