Derby Arboretum Nature Reserve

My walk in Derby Arboretum this lunchtime took me through the small nature reserve on the southern edge of the park. It's not very impressive. It consists simply of a small pond with a few bulrushes growing in it.

I am intrigued by the building on the street outside the reserve. It is clearly residential now but looks like it is adapted from a former chapel. I can't find any information about its history.
