Shadows on Parchment

There's a knob of rock next to the path to the old quarry, surmounted by a topknot of earth.  An umbellifer is growing in there, and nearly every time I pass I try to take a photo worth keeping.  Unsuccessfully until today.  
Two layers scenery, one layer gravel.  Because the sky was grey, it picked up the texture of the gravel, and gave it a parchmenty look.
