View from the Obelisk, Haldon Hill

We walked up to the top of Haldon Hill today to visit the Obeslik, this is the view across the valley to the English Channel and the River Exe. It is a beautiful place to live and walk..
The walk takes you up through a mysterious forest the mist rising... and the smell of dank earth is simply wonderful..

The rain has now lifted and the view revealed from the house again.. this morning I watched the deer wandering on the lawns... and managed to take some photos which were a little grainy..
the birds are also in abundance vying with the peacocks for food...

Now the debate is shall I leave for home this evening or at the crack of dawn in the morning.....
Not sure I want to leave ever.....
