ANEMONE

Anemone on a corner chair.

Inherited from G's Mum, the chair is stuffed with horsehair. It is in need of restoration but most suggestions are to replace the horsehair and I would rather keep it; it is part of its history. One day I will get round to doing something about it.

Meanwhile I am away to the kitchen to get the supper on before the rugby starts. I have pork shanks to cook and no idea what to do with them. So it is going to be a very slow braise in white wine, garlic, thyme, diced apples, and lemon. Or shall I go for the rosemary, basil and lemon thyme idea?

To be honest, it depends what's in the cupboard!
