Not like yesterday

Today has been wet, very wet, all day. But we’re on holiday and have no commitments that were spoilt by the rain. Just no sitting out on the decking with our books.

We visited Denbies vineyards first, just to browse really. No little trains going up through the vineyard today.

Then we drove to Cranleigh via Forest Green where GadgetKid had taken me last summer, and also via Ewhurst and Sayers Croft where D had been to two summer camps a good few years ago. We took a good look round and much was unchanged. Lots of dormitory cabins and woodland. Happy memories.

Cranleigh seemed to have closed at 3pm, including the store we really wanted to visit. Not a problem. Home again and our own lunch/cream tea. Dinner at The Drummond in Albury this evening, a favourite eating place when we’re here.

It’s still raining.
