The Glorious Twelfth

Sadly the selfie we took of our getting the keys to the little house and garden in Jerez de la Frontera failed to come out, but our agent wanted a photo of the water meter. Carmen's two daughters were selling a much-loved home of their abuela. In the office of la notaria they sat across the desk from Sarah and me, and in return for three cheques handed us the keys to the house in Calle Recodos in the Barrio Torresoto. You can see it on Google Earth, the only place with a garden and fig trees. A long struggle to get through Spanish bureaucracy and Covid although I suspect no worse than anywhere else but we now have our getaway from Brexit and this Tory government.
