On the iPad you can go to settings
display and brightness
turn on true tone
it should adjust the intensity of the display based on ambient lighting

while there, select night shift and make it a little warmer and maybe that will help

Maybe a blue filter on your glasses? 

We have to have a human in our house tomorrow. The garbage disposal is broken and we can't really leave it broken for a year until we have a vaccine. We'll make him wash his hands upon entry and we'll open all the windows on that floor. We'll skedaddle and leave him on the floor all by himself and just stay away from the floor for a few hours.

Tonight I got to talk to two children, one 10 and one younger. Kids who feel comfortable are so interesting. The 10-year-old went to Portugal last year. His parents redid their vows and had a huge party. His grandmother only speaks creole Portuguese. We discussed the similarities between Spanish and Portuguese and French. They LOVED racing with Samuel, throwing a ball for Samuel, and Samuel LOVED playing with them. Thank goodness there are no examples of dogs transferring this because now that I let people pet him, he is so much happier. 

Nothing like seeing someone with a big plate of calamari on TV to make you want some.
