2020 Wednesday — Retesting
Back in early spring Mr. Fun went in for blood work and a check-up and the tests revealed an elevated PSA, which is not good.
So on April 15th he had a prostate biopsy. Two weeks later, he was told all that the biopsy revealed: of the 12 specimens, 2 were cancerous, that the cancer was not the most aggressive, and that an MRI and CT Scan were next on the agenda, so the doctor could determine if there were any lymph nodes effected.
So on May 13th we learned that one lymph node looked suspicious. The doctor was not sure if that lymph node is cancerous or just “aggravated” as a result of the biopsy. So for past three months, beginning on May 15th, Mr. Fun has been treated with hormone therapy.
Now it’s time to retest to learn if the lymph node is healthy or if it’s cancerous. Today was a CT Scan. Two days ago the blood work was done.
Next Wednesday we have an office visit with the doctor, who is both a urologist and an oncologist.
Good night from the Circle City,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
