Polocrosse in the dust
This is the third in my series of sport in the Australian outback.
I took these photos when we were heading north through the Queensland outback and passed through a small town called Cunnamulla.
Cunnamulla is about 800 km (500 miles) almost due west of Brisbane. The visiting team probably drove a few hundred kilometres, towing their horse floats, to play this match. That's just par for the course if you live in the outback. They had to play in the dust of course and it became so bad that we had to retreat to our vehicle to watch the match from a more comfortable view point. It was very exciting to watch.
