Dunnock ...

It snowed again last night. Much of the snow melted away during the day. But a rest remained. Waiting for more to come, when I may believe the weather predictions.

In the fierce rays of the morning sun I spotted a dunnock in the apple tree. When we see sparrows in the backyard, we usually see house sparrows.

This dunnock seemed to me a juvenile in its first winter ... ;)
