Before the Rain...

We had a nice lot of rain overnight....enough to really moisten the soil and not enough to cause surface flooding. Late this morning son Duncan and I drove out to Rarangi Beach for a look-around and then on to Wairau Bar. This is where our big Wairau River flows out to sea and also replenishes the waters in the extensive Vernon Lagoons. Low tide and a threatening cloudy sky made for some dramatic scenery. A lovely spot which I must visit again very soon with DSLR cameras and tripod. It is high time to enjoy a good photography session.
