Calamari

For perhaps the first time I ever I arranged to bike out to a designated spot, at a designated time, to meet my partner for some coffee and cake, before chucking the bike in the back of the car and cadging a lift home from the aforementioned designated spot.

Do you think it all went smoothly?

Hmmm, made it in the end after mechanicals galore (chain, gears, puncture) to another hastily-arranged designated spot that meant I'd only be a bit late to rather than *really* late to and that spot was a beer garden in a pub. I had a pint. I had some food an' all. It was right nice.
