An afternoon out!

I worked a flat out half day, had coffee with a friend I haven't seen in a long time and his lovely daughter. Then it was time for old buddy D and I to go on our AFTERNOON OUT! She lives in France so it's just good timing we are both on the island at the same time.

After a bit of a driving around we managed to track down two of these Evie (electric) bikes to hire. I was a bit nervous not having ridden in ages but once we got going, we were flying. A lovely shady ride down the railway walk (no trains in Jersey since 1936) to the south west tip of the island where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream with a spectacular view (in extras). 

We rode back and then took the car to another bay where we were able to get an outside table at a little beachside restaurant. We never stopped yakking through the whole afternoon! Topped it off with a few moments watching the high tide before two tired old pals headed for home.
