First Shot

Well. The coffee quest is over for now at least. It is safe for everyone to come out of hiding. See below if you are a "coffee tragic".

It appears that the system has recorded eight official years of blipping for me. You all know how I have come to value your companionship over that time. Deeply felt appreciation to you all. The blip above features the very first shot of coffee from a new machine

Enough is enough. Many thanks to everyone who has taken an interest and/or offered advice on home coffee. I won't bore you with all the findings of my coffee research, except to say that I have really just begun. For now ... let's just say that for espresso style shots, we have settled on an "Essenza Mini" Nespresso machine. For the rest of the time we are grinding beans (as freshly roasted as we can find) to brew by "pour-over" filtration or French press. Our selection process for both pods and beans continues ... probably forever.
