Swimming all the time

One thing about swimming in the Forty Foot is that there is always something different each time. If it is not a blow up mattress it is a swimming hound. He was very good too. The only thing I was wondering would he be able to get back out on the steps as the sea was quite  choppy and the steps were slippery from the seaweed. But no problem to him. Dogs are not to everyone's liking. The woman was hugging the bar to let him go by but I wonder was she a bit scared of him as well. Anyway he did not care but was fretting a bit when tied up with his lead and he could not get back in.

What is the difference between a dog leash and a dog lead?
