Retro Ball

If you are of certain age you will remember these sparkling onto the walls of your school disco!

Well guess what I found in the back of an old Fire Station today then?
I am organising a Retro Dance for the local kids at the high school along with a few other parents and we decided to have a Retro theme so effectively the youngsters could wear anything they wanted from 1940's to present. All was met with enthusiasm.
We got clearance from the school that it was okay - whew The food and drink was planned, the hall was booked, tickets and poster organised so all that was missing was the "silver ball". Hey presto! - one appeared. As fast as this appeared the idea of the dance disappeared as the "powers that be" decided to cancel it!
Grrrrr - it was only to help make them money for non funded extras for the kids grrrrrr
