We love orienteering

Today's event was at Tankersley near Sheffield, a 'middle distance' event which means the courses are a little shorter than usual but the controls closer together so the experience is more intense. The weather was a bit unfriendly but once you're out there it doesn't matter much.
The beauty of orienteering is that once you've got the hang of it, you don't lose too much time on fitter runners if you can concentrate on taking a better route. But alas yesterday's beer festival was not the ideal prep! And my daughter beat me today. But no matter, a great day out.
