Leeds old and new Day 6: Aberford and Elmet
Most weekends we try and do a long walk in preparation for Joe's trekking holiday in Jordan in March. Today we did 9 miles around Barwick-in-Elmet and Aberford, which are two parishes to the east of Leeds.
An interesting walk as we got slightly lost and found ourselves going straight through a golf course and had to walk through some very muddy fields. This photo was taken near the end of the walk as the sun was going down. Not sure how it fits with my theme for the week but I liked this solitary 'old' tree as Joe walked past.
After our walk we went to spend the evening with our friends and their 'new' little baby girl.
