Catkin

So called from the Dutch katteken, meaning "kitten", on account of the resemblance to a kitten's tail.
I'm not sure if I prefer it's other name 'Ament', which is from the Latin amentum, meaning "thong"!

Daylong relentless rain kept us confined to the house, severely restricting our walking plans. But no 2 son was home, so we had a nice catch up.
Looking forward to a mammoth chinese meal tonight prepared by Mr. O.
