We decided not to go for a walk today, it's very windy with frequent quite heavy showers. In between the showers I popped into the garden for a Flower Friday blip. There are still loads of bees on the lavender, here are three of them.

I broke one of my rules this morning when I agreed to let a cold doorstep caller do a job on the house, cleaning the gutters. I've been thinking about getting this done for a while now, and this guy calls and leaves a business card about once a year. He seemed legitimate and his price was OK so I went for it. He was a bit surprised that we had never had the gutters cleaned in 23 years. They probably won't need to be done again for another 23.
