This is a photo from an old slide, part of a set published by ASMK & Co, Malaysia. After various experiments, I found that I could digitise slides by placing the viewer over the front-facing camera on a tablet, which was easy with the tablet flat on my desk using good light from the window.

Lots of detail is missing, but at least I have a way to use the slides including making decisions about whether to get them digitised professionally.  In this case, I found full colour postcards using the a similar image from the same publisher online, so I might look at alternative uses.  With extra research I found out that this is Smith Street, now a popular venue for street food.
